Ioana Ciolacu is a young fashion designer based in Bucharest, Romania.

She has a Master in Architecture at University of Architecture and Urbanism Bucharest and studied Fashion Design at National University of Arts Bucharest, graduating in 2011.

Her collections are produced in Bucharest, Romania.

Her dual education, both as an architect and a fashion designer makes her collections a structural delight of geometrical elements. School and personal study have taught her how to transform the static nature of buildings into the fluid structure of outfits.

She pursued her calling and entered numerous fashion competitions, both local and international. Her collection ‘Muna’ won 2nd place at Fash2011 European Fashion Award (SDBI, Germany), 2nd place at Pasarela 2011 (Institut Francais, Romania) and placed her among the 25 finalists of Carnet de Mode (Madame Figaro, France).

Her work was displayed at mainstream tradeshows such as ISPO2011 (Munich, Germany), Madame Figaro/Carnet de Mode in (Paris, France) and several local ones.

Ioana just launched her SS2012 collection, which was presented during Avanpremiere Bucharest at National Museum of Contemporary Arts Bucharest.

Seasonally she continues to add a selection of unique pieces growing her collection.
