Ioana Ciolacu explores the tension between structure and fluidity, where material becomes movement and form becomes expression.

Rooted in architectural thinking and driven by tactile experimentation, her work investigates how garments can behave like skin — responsive, adaptive, and intimately connected to the body.

Each piece is developed through a dialogue between construction and softness, precision and instinct. Clean lines meet unexpected textures, while silhouettes are engineered to move with, rather than against, the wearer. The result is a distinct visual language defined by clarity, control, and a quiet sensuality.

The brand operates at the intersection of design and material research. Fabrics are selected not for appearance alone, but for how they perform, age, and interact with the body over time. Sustainability is approached as a design constraint rather than a feature, informing decisions from the earliest stages of development through to final production.

All garments are produced in Romania through a close network of local manufacturers, enabling precision, transparency, and a continuous refinement of process. This proximity supports a slower, more deliberate approach to making — one that prioritizes longevity over excess.

Ioana Ciolacu is a graduate of the London College of Fashion and has previously worked at Stella McCartney. The brand is available through a curated selection of international retailers, including Farfetch, Moda Operandi, Zalando, and Wolf & Badger.

Through an ongoing exploration of material, form, and movement, Ioana Ciolacu continues to define a practice where design is both structural and sensorial — where garments are not only worn, but experienced.
